How to make Dry Gobi Manchurian at home 

Indo-Chinese recipes have been extremely popular in India as a popular snack or meal. Nowadays, people don’t really get much time to cook proper meal and they rely on snacks more. Moreover, there are quick snacks here and there before or after a proper meal.  

Today, we’re going to show you an easy and fun recipe to make anytime with some delicious and aromatic sauces. Read on to find out how to make Dry Gobi Manchurian at home with the help of Genie Food group. 

Ingredients for Dry Gobi Manchurian: 

For boiling: 

4 Cup Water 
½ Tbsp Salt 
20 Florets Gobi/ Cauliflower 
1 Cup Cold Water 

For batter: 

¾ Cup Maida/ Plain flour 
¼ Cup Corn Flour 
½ Tbsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder 
½ Tbsp Genie Food Ginger Garlic Paste 
¼ Tbsp Salt 
½ Cup  Water 
500 ml or as desired Oil for deep frying 

For Manchurian Sauce: 

Quantity Ingredients:
4 Tbsp Oil 
2 Tbsp Genie Food Garlic Paste 
1 Tbsp Genie Food Ginger Paste 
1 Slit or chopped Green Chilli 
¼ Finely chopped Onion 
¼ Chopped  Spring Onion 
½ Diced Capsicum 
2 Tbsp Tomato Sauce 
1 Tbsp Genie Food Red Chilli Sauce 
2 Tbsp Vinegar 
2 Tbsp Soy Sauce 
¼ Tbsp Crushed Pepper 
¼ Tbsp Salt 

For corn flour slurry: 

1 Tbsp  Corn flour 
¼ Cup  Water 

Method to make Dry Gobi Manchurian: 

  1. Firstly, take a large vessel and add 4 cups of water to it. Bring the water to a boil and add ½ Tbsp salt to it.  
  1. After the salt dissolves in water, add cauliflower to the vessel.  
  1. Blanch the cauliflower for 1-2 minutes and immediately take out and keep it aside.  
  1. Drain the water from the cauliflower and add it to a cold or room-temperature water bowl to stop it from cooking.  
  1. Keep the cauliflower in cold water sometime and set it aside.  
  1. Now, to make batter for dry gobi Manchurian, add ¾ Cup Maida & ¼ cup corn flour.  
  1. Then, add ½ Tbsp Chilli powder, ½ Tbsp Genie Food Ginger Garlic Paste, and ¼ Tbsp salt.  
  1. After that, add ½ cup water and mix everything well to form a smooth, lump-free batter.  
  1. Add the blanched cauliflower to this batter bowl and coat it evenly with the batter.  
  1. Now, take a deep-frying pan, add some oil and boil it till it’s hot.   
  1. Add the coated cauliflower to the pan and fry it till it’s golden brown.  
  1. Cook them evenly, take them out and transfer them to a plate. Cool them down on a kitchen towel to remove excess oil.  

For making Dry Gobi Manchurian:  

  1. Take a large vessel and heat 4 Tbsp oil in it.  
  1. Saute some chopped green chillies, 2 Tbsp Genie Food Garlic paste, and 1 Tbsp Genie Food Ginger Paste to it.  
  1. Then, add ¼ onion and 2 Tbsp spring onion to the vessel. Saute it well on a high flame.  
  1. Further, add ½ capsicum and saute it till its slightly cooked.  
  1. Then, add 2 Tbsp tomato sauce, 1 Tbsp Genie Food Red Chilli sauce, 2 Tbsp vinegar, 2 Tbsp soy sauce, ¼ Tbsp crushed pepper, and ¼ Tbsp salt.  
  1. Mix everything well and saute it for a minute.  
  1. In another bowl, take 1 tbsp of corn flour and mix it with ¼ cup of water.   
  1. Now add this cornflour slurry to the large vessel and mix it well.  
  1. Keep cooking the mixture till the gravy thickens.  
  1. Then, add the fried cauliflower to the mixture. Toss it gently so that the gravy coats the cauliflower properly. 
  1. Finally, transfer it to a plate and enjoy this delicious recipe with some chopped green onion as garnish.
