Learn to make delicious Corn & Cheese toast using Genie Products

Speaking about toasts, they’re a quick, healthy and filling snacks and breakfast. You can make a simple toast and enjoy it with your cup of coffee or tea. Toasts also comes with lots of interesting variations making your taste buds feel unique flavours.

Ingredients for Corn & Cheese Toast: 

Quantity Ingredients 
4 –6 Slices Whole Wheat Bread 
½ Cup Boiled Sweet Corn Kernels 
2 Tbsp Grated cheese 
1 Tbsp Butter 
¼ Cup Finely Chopped onions 
2 Tsp Plain Flour (Maida) 
¾ Cup Milk 
3 Tbsp Finely chopped Capsicum 
½ Tsp Genie Food Mix Herbs Seasoning 
¼ Tsp Genie Food Chilli Flakes 
¼ Tsp Mustard Powder  
1Tbsp (As Required) Salt 

Method to make Corn & Cheese Toasts: 

Preparation of stuffing for corn cheese toast: 

  1. Take a wide pan and heat 1 Tbsp of butter. 
  1. Once the butter melts, add ¼ cup finely chopped onions. 
  1. Saute the onions for 1-2 minutes till they turn pink. 
  1. Add 2 Tbsp of Plain flour (Maida) and stir. 
  1. Cook the madia and onion mix for a few seconds. 
  1. Later, add ¾ cup of milk to the pan. 
  1. Cook the mix for 1-2 minutes till the sauce is thick in consistency. Keep stirring the mixture during this process. 
  1. Add 3 Tbsp of finely chopped capsicum. 
  1. Add ½ Tbsp Genie Food Mix Herbs Seasoning
  1. Later, add 2 Tbsp grated cheese. 
  1. Then, add ¼ tbsp Genie Food Chilli Flakes Seasoning
  1. Mix everything well. 
  1. Later, let everything cook on a medium flame for 30 seconds. 
  1. Add ¼ Tbsp of Mustard powder. 
  1. Then, add ½ cup boiled sweet corn kernels. 
  1. Add salt to the mix as required. 
  1. Then, cook everything for 1-2 minutes. Keep stirring the mixture. 
  1. Let the mix cool after it’s cooked and divide it into 6-8 equal portions or as required for toasts. 

For making Corn & Cheese Toast: 

  1. Toast 4-6 whole wheat bread slices. 
  1. Cut the slices into half for small toasts. 
  1. Apply the stuffing evenly on the toasts. 
  1. Garnish the toasts with Genie Food Chilli Flakes Seasoning and few finely chopped capsicum pieces. Serve the corn cheese toasts immediately after preparing it. 

Tips for Corn & Cheese Toast: 

  1. Use of Multigrain Bread or other healthy alternatives of bread will be much better. 
  1. Since we have used Maida in preparation of stuffing, it will become thick over time. For reusing the stuffing, add 1-2 Tbsp of milk in stuffing and heat it.
